2012 - Chuck Wurth
Hello, I’m Chuck Wurth. I have been in camping at 4-H Camp Palmer for 30 years. I am presently an Ohio State University Program Manager. I have a Bachelor degree from The Ohio State University in Wildlife Management and a Masters Degree from the University of Toledo in Educational Technology.
I am a facilitator in Project Wild, Wet, Science and Civics and Leopold Education Programs. I am a 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor in Rifle, Shotgun, Archery and Muzzleloader. I am also an Ohio Hunter Education Instructor.
I have taught low initiative, Project Wild activities and Folk Toys at workshops out of state. I have taught at the American Camping Association and National 4-H Camping Institutes.
I manage the Outdoor Education Programs for day and residential school groups at Camp Palmer. I am the lead instructor and facilitator in High Adventure and Low Initiatives.
I am a past president of Buckeye Leadership Workshop. I sit on the committee of Supercamp, an organization similar to Buckeye Leadership that focuses primarily on youth from 9 years to 14 years. I am involved in teaching 5th graders at my church. I belong to a men’s Christian group where presently I am involved in putting on a weekend retreat.
Chuck is currently the Vice President of the Buckeye Leadership Workshop Board of Directors.
