Buckeye Leadership Workshop

Barry is a man who wears many hats.  First he is a husband and father of three.  He has attended and/or led sessions at Buckeye Leadership Workshop since 1975. Currently he is a permanent member of the board of Directors for Buckeye Leadership Workshop.  He is also on the board of directors for the Holmes/Wayne Electric Cooperative.  He is a member of a Methodist church in Wooster, Ohio.  He plays the piano at his church and also for Sunday services at a local Nursing home.  He and his wife are both advisors for the 4-H Club that meets at their barn.

Barry has two degrees from The Ohio State University.  He earned his BS degree in Elementary Education and a MS degree in Extension Education.  He worked for OSU Extension as an Extension Educator in 4-H and Youth Development for many years.  He also taught in public schools for three years.  Currently Barry runs his own business called: TEAMPLAY, LLC.  Through this business Barry leads programs in Teambuilding, Games Leadership, and Recreational Dance.  His clientele ranges from corporate groups to church leaders to camp counselors to elementary school students.

Barry has been leading Recreational Dance for over 30 years.  He teaches square dancing, folk dancing, line dancing and basic ballroom dancing.  Dance leading has taken Barry all over the United States and Canada. 

Barry also leads teambuilding programs for many groups across Ohio and well as around the country and Canada.

Barry is the co-author (along with Dr. Jim Cain) of TEAMWORK & TEAMPLAY, ©1998, Kendall Hunt, a book written for teambuilding leaders and has been a most popular book in this field since it was published.

Barry also leads many different programs for school, after-school, home school groups or summer camps with names as such as: Flying Things, Backyard Frisbee Golf, Paper Embroidery and Using Your Noodle.

Barry, his wife Amy and his three children, Christy, Jesse, and Becky live on a small farm near Wooster, Ohio.
