Ohio State 4-H Representative - Larry Hall
Welcome! I live on the family farm in Knox County, Ohio and have spent more than 40 years of my life involved with 4-H. My seven grandchildren keep my wife and I young and busy. I am the Ohio 4-H Representative on the Buckeye Leadership Workshop committee. SInce 1993 I have served as the Knox County OSU Extension Educator in 4-H Youth Development. I first attended Buckeye in 1994 and have only missed one year since. My interest in team challenge programming began there and hasn't stopped. My love of music has also been influenced by the people at the workshop as I instruct songleading / music programming using the oral tradition. Many of my mentors are BLW alums.
My camping experiences started at 4-H Camp Ohio and continue as I teach sessions in schools, camps and retreats at the state and national levels. I earned my bachelor's and master's degress from The Ohio State University in Zoology and Agricultural Education, respectively. While youth programming is a major part of my life, I enjoy working with adult and family groups as well.
A Navy veteran and member of the Ohio Operation: Military Kids team since 2005, I have the honor of serving youth from across the state during the deployment of at least one parent. Working with families from all branches of the service allows me to continue my service to our country. I am a 4-H Shooting Sports instructor, ODNR Hunter Safety instructor and a member of Pheasants Forever.
