Here is the link for the registration form for Buckeye 2010.

To attend Buckeye you need to be 15 years old or a freshman in High School or older.

Registration Fee:
Early-bird registration fee (on or before February 25, 2010) for the workshop is $335. Registration after February 26 is $360. This includes meals, lodging, and a resource notebook. Some sessions have additional fees, (determined by and paid to class instructors) for materials or equipment which you may use and/or take home. We require a $100.00 deposit with every registration form. The deposit provides money for BLW start-up expenses and provides a commitment for individuals attending workshop.

Cancellations and Refunds:
BLW will refund half of the deposit ($50) if a person cancels their registration before February 25, 2010. BLW will not refund deposits for cancellations after February 25, 2010 (within 1 month of the workshop). Our refund policy is an attempt to balance BLW interests and financial obligations while recognizing that your schedule may change due to unforeseen reasons.

Graduate Credits
In conjunction with Ashland University, BLW participants can earn graduate level credit hours. Information and paperwork will be available during the workshop. Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)
You can earn 1.3 CEU’s by attending BLW. The CEU’s are obtained through the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA). Teachers, Recreation Professionals, etc. can apply the CEU’s toward their professional registration/certification requirements. You may also be interested in a partial scholarships to help you be able to attend the Buckeye Leadership Workshop. These partial scholarships are available through the R. Bruce Tom Memorial Fund. We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of partial scholarships. You should contact your sponsoring organization as your primary source for funding. Please assist us in our efforts by returning a neatly written or typed application with the two letters mentioned below prior to January 8, 2010. (Applications received after this date will not be considered).

Only partial scholarships are awarded. Scholarships are based heavily on financial need and the ability of the participant to use these new skills. Scholarship recipients will be asked to assist with some BLW activities in exchange for funding. We strongly encourage you to seek funding from your sponsoring organization.

Two letters of recommendation are required to accompany this application. Please choose two individuals other than relatives who know your leadership abilities and financial need. Be certain their name, full address, phone number and association with you are included in each letter. Letters must be postmarked not later than January 8, 2010 for consideration.

IMPORTANT!!! ONLY COMPLETE FORMS, ACCOMPANIED BY 2 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION WILL BE CONSIDERED. YOUR COMPLETED REGISTRATION (FROM THE BROCHURE) AND $100.00 DEPOSIT MUST BE ON FILE WITH THE REGISTRAR OR ACCOMPANY THIS APPLICATION.
